Happy New Year

Hello Everyone!!

A very good and happy 2007!!! :)

I hope that everyone has had a nice Christmas and a good start of the new year. I have celebrated Christmas at home with my family, my grandmother and my sister was home again, and she brought her boyfriend with her. It was all very nice.
Today I have been working at a shop nearby to make up the accounts, we are doing that every year. And my sister went back to Nijmegen, where she was studying, from where she will go to Amsterdam to fly back to England where she is studying at the moment.
I will have still a few days free, which I'll have to use to prepare my next exam. I don't know yet what I'm going to do next summer, but I think I would like, like Esben, to go to a camp again. But I will think of that later.

Wish you a very happy and healthfull 2007 and I'll hope to hear from you guys,

Bye-bye,

Auke

Greetings...

Hey!
I don't know if this place has totally died out... but I'll try anyway.
Know what, I had my last day at school today. My last prelim. My last visit to our biomedicum - the next time to visit the Tartu hospital will be for the final exam - no big deal, just a few questions of all the knowledge we've got ;)
I'm moving back to Tallinn to make my practice. And after the graduation I'll move to Costa-Rica for a year to do voluntary service in a children's hospital there. Yes, Mr. X will have to survive that year without me :P
Otherwise everything's very well, christmas is knocking on the door, so I wish you all very merry holidays!

Love,
Liis

P.S. By the way, I got enough of my hair ;)

Hey my dears!

So now I'm back in Estonia - living my ordinary student-life, trying to figure out what the hell I want from my life, which doctor to become (or become a diplomated cleaning-lady), where to do my practices, weather to stay in Estonia or go to Sweden (cuz it rains in Sweden as well :P)
Yep. Sweden was really fun. It's nice to be somwhere where noone knows you - where you can pretend to be a stupid tourist but on the other hand listen to what people talk about you, or let them translate all the place-names and laugh silently about it all (by yourself of course)...

What about you guys? How are you?

Hey Esben: Yes I'm fine too...

Hi everyone,

Today I went to the hospital again for a inquiry. They where going to do a bronchoscope, which is the inquiry whereby they are going with a little camera into your airpipe. There we could see that there is a half a vocal cord missing ( I didn't know that) and that there is a place where the diameter of my airpipe isn't a third of what is should be ( I knew that). But now there is something new, probably there going to cut away the flesh in my airpipe so that it just back to it's normal size again. Therefore I will have an operation in Groningen, but I don't know jet when or how.
So now you know almost as much as I do. And I am fine, and hope I will be for the next weeks. I've also found a room in Groningen, which is very nice because when I can stay there I won't have to travel for five hours a day, which isn't very comfortable. Well that was it for now, I have to studie...

So hope you're all doing well,

Loves,

Auke

:)

Hello my dears!

As you probably understand, I haven´t had a lot time to write to you or in the blog... cuz it´s difficult to get to the internet: all the 4 of us are standing in the line behind the computer, begging for internet ;)
But it´s reallyreally fun! I wanna do so much things now - some youth exchanges on HIV, educating children, volunteering in AIDS centres etc... and I realized that I´m on my last year of studies... where have I been all that time?!?!
Right now I´m in Umeå, which is quite in the north of Sweden - and you know, I went to swim yesterday! Again I proved that Estonians are crazy people. 2:0 in Europe´s favor :P

And everyone thinks I´m swedish! And in every place they want me to come to live in Sweden and make my specialisation here! So, maybe in 2 years I´ll invite you all to Sweden instead of Estonia :P

Tomorrow we´ll leave for Uppsala and then Stockholm... and only in 10 days I´ll be back in Tartu at school - back as nothing happened...

Hi everyone

Hey Guys,

I hear that everything is going quite well with you guys, all are pretty busy allready. And so am I, that's the reason I haven't posted something untill now. Everything is going well here. However I've been ill quite seriously, I'm a lot better allready. I went to the hospital today to do some lung test and I have to come back next monday, but it isn't really something serious probably: just the thing I've had all my life allready: a smaller airpipe.
The studie was quite hard the first week since I was ill and I have to travel for around 4 hours a day and I had my courses from nine to five. In the nights I couldn't really sleep since I wasn't able to breath properly, so the first week was really exhausting. But now it is going better, I'm getting stronger again however I'm still a bit ill.
Now I'm also able to do something more for my study, which is needed since I have allready a little delay of the first week, but at this moment it is only for one subject that I have to work a little bit harder. So I'm on my way back.
Yes, life is allready just as it was, and at this moment that is quite fine.
Further have I met a lot of new people and a lot of of friends since I'm back in Holland. I think, you never can be sure with her, that my sister is heading for England Wednesday to studie there for one year. Furthermore there isn't really happening something special here at home.
But I have to studie a little bit more now, so I will tell you more when I've got some more time.

Hope you all will be OK,

Loves,

Auke

Penguins

Hehh, Laura... remember our swimming in my summer-cottage?
Well, today I went to swim in Sweden ;) And it ws much warmer! Although I almost swam into a jelly-fish :P
But otherwise, I'm in Gothenburg now for the second day. Quite a nice town I'd say. I like it more than Malmö actually. It's not so industrial and somehow reminds me of Tallinn even. Yes, I'm a patriot :P
So far have we been just walking in the city a little, on the boat-trip near Gothenburg (on those nice rocky islands) and the amusement park :D
And... all my course-mates are at school... tomorrow they will start with practice and I keep on having fun! :D Those lazy-lazy Estonians...

Greetings from Sweden

Hey my darlings!
I see the blog is still working well - good job!
I'm in the internet cafe right now and have just 10 minutes left... so I'll make it quick ;)
I've been in Malmö for a week now and it's been really interesting! I've been to laboratory, seen the syringe exchange procedure and talked to drug-addicts using injected drugs for 40 years and still look healthy! Seen HIV-postive people, some having the disease for 20-25 years and looking exactly like healthy people! Been dinnering with HIV+ group. It's all reallyreally interesting and fun!
And of course, just having fun with my new friends from Kosovo, Rwanda and Sudan :)

Love you all!

Wohoooo :)

Hey there!!!
So, I'm back at school for the second day already :) knowing that tomorrow will be the last school-day of this month. Cuz the day after tomorrow I'll fly to Sweden. But I'm really "wohooo!" because I finally could get an answer from our professors and I actually can find a solution for being away from school the whole month... and I can graduate this academic year :D :D :D

To next posting... from Sweden then already

Nota bene!!!

You know what... actually it would be better if we wouldn't sign in as "adventurecamp"... first I didn't realize that You actually don't even have to know the password... It's better if everyone makes oneself one's own account (or if someone really doesn't want to make an account, please write Your name under Your posting... otherwise we might later not understand who is who)... THANK YOU!
:)

Me again :)

Hello there!

So now I'm already starting to get the idea that I actually SHOULD start thinking of all kind of matter-of-fact stuff... And I'm finally searching for HIV and AIDS :P
But I'm also moving all my stuff from one room to another because my brother will move home for some time and his furniture is too big for his small room, so the younger sister has to move ;) ... but actually it's a better room and I didn't have any objections... so now I'm living in the room where Esben, Hyo-In and Hyeon-Jun and later Laura were staying... although in 5 days I'll move to Tartu again :D
But before leaving Tallinn, I'll make Okonomiyaki to my parents ;)

Take care You all!!!

Luv ya!

Do you remember Okonomiyaki??

Tere!! everyone!! How are you??
Liis wrote pie recipe so I also try to write Okonomiyaki recipe.
If you can't understand my English, I'm sorry...

★recipe of Okonomiyaki★

〜ingredient(2 slice)〜
・flour 50g
・egg one
・water 50cc
・cabbage 100g(But I think do as you like!!)
・pork quantity
・Okonomiyaki's sause quantity
・mayonnaise quantity

1) Break egg and put it in the bowl. Mix the egg.
2)Put water in the bowl and mix.
3)Put cabbages and pork in the bowl.
4)Put oil in the frying pan.
When frying pan is hot, put 3 in it.
Burn both side.
5)When both side burn fully, move Okonomiyaki to dish.
6)Put sauce and mayonnaise on Okonomiyaki.

If you like dried bonito and green laver, I think you put these on Okonomiyaki.
I always put these.
I think cheese is good for put in Okonomiyaki!! I like it.

Sorry, my English too bad ((;゚Д゚))
I must study English very hard!!

Gooseberrypie

Hey!

You know what... I thought we could have a recipie-collection as well... I kind of miss the asian food you know...
But just in case I'll write you the Laura-and-Liisu famous gooseberrypie recipie as well

So, you need:
150 grams of butter (or margarine)
100 grams of sugar
250 grams of flour
enough of berries (the more the better I think)... but they don't have to be gooseberries, you can use which berries you wish... and it's very good with apple as well

You should mix butter and sugar first. Then add the flour and mix again. Put the paste on a cake pan (but leave some of the paste for the crunches) and cook about 10 minutes in the oven (220C) - till it's a little bit brown.
Then put on the berries or apples.
Now we come back to the rest of the paste... add a little bit more flour to it and with your fingers make it more crumbly. Then put the mixture on top of the berries and into the oven again! (about 10-20 min, 220C again) Till it's golden-brown... like that ->

And... HEAD ISU! Bon apetit!
(actually, it's much better with ice-cream)

So, here you go :)

hey it's me Hyeonjun Hyeonjun

hi everyone.

now I could write here. I was a little busy these days. I attended my internship at a korean company. I just finished my timetable that i will have to study at my univ.

how are you guys? I got you guys emails. thank you for writing.

do you know Metro, which is the newspaper that we can get at the subway station ?

as I told you, I am working for a beer company as an intern for 6 months.

I was appeared in the newspaper, Metro. ~ I was so exciting even if it was really small picture when I saw my pic in the subway.

For you guys I attached my picture from Internet Metro. However ,I guess nobody can understand the article except Hyoin. oh, She is doing well. She is preparing for getting a job. She is going to graduate next year, so this semester is the last one.

Anyway the article was about the beer's freshness or something.

After finishing the camp, I dreamed of the camp. In my dream, I was drinking again. :)

I miss you guys. 7 days later, I have to go to school again. my summer vacation is almost finished.

anyway I will post again , okay?

Still in Tallinn

Yesterday I got rid of my puppy-forelock... so now you can actually see my eyes! But actually none of my friends noticed it (ok, just one did) so it's not nothing glamorous :P
After the hair-dresser I went to my friends' place where I continued tasting the cuisine of different countries (we have an italian here who cooks realllyrealllly good) and of course, as I have no work or school or whatsoever, I had to go out at night... But you know... something was missing... my favourite dancing-partner just went to Berlin!!! Laura, how dare you!

Back in Berlin

Hi everyone,

I'm finally back in Berlin!
When I arrived at the airport last saturday I felt so sad to be in a big city that I just called a very good friend in Hamburg and travelled with her to my parents' holiday cottage. Ahh...fresh air, nature, rain (cause I'm a bit Estonian in this point...I really do like the rain sometimes, too!!!)...that's the best in the world :-)
And as you can see: We had some funny days!

What else?
I really have to recommend Riga to everyone! Nice city! And you have to stay in "Friendly Fun Franks Backpacker Youthhostel" (although the name sounds strange), cause they will give you a wellcome-beer for free and take you to the best dance clubs afterwards...sure, if you need some recovery (as I actually did) it is probably not the best place to spend the night ;-)
On my way to the airport I got a little bit "lost in translation": The whole bus was giggling about me...after 15 minutes I finally realized that I was sitting on the private-chair of the ticket-seller! But she just didn't say anything, she just stared at me and I had no idea why (I even bought a ticket twice!)!!!

The vacation is over now...
back to life, back to reality... :-( I wish myself back to the watermill!

What are you doing?
Steve, how is your leg???
I hope there will be a lot of posts during the next days :-)
Hello everyone??? WRITE!!! Pleeeeaaaaase!

Best wishes,
Laura

So this is Estonia

It's raining here in Estonia for 3 or 4 days already, so I have nothing better to do than putting the photos in the right order and other pleasant things... So I thought I'd make a summary about Estonia and Estonians...

* they have cold weather - don't know how they survive that... but they actually like it!
* it's raining all the time but they just love the rain and even want to take walks in the rain
* they like to work, and even the girls carry timber and other heavy trees
* they have the strange habit of walking barefooted as if their feet had leather underneath (come on! shoes are too expensive!)
* they eat a disgusting thing called porridge
* they have very-very uncomfortable pavement in the old town and they call it beutiful! or a part of the old town! (hey, try to walk there on high heels!)
* and they actually know Shakespeare!
